Healing through movement and sound

2nd Friday of the month 5.30-7pm

 In this time of great upheaval and uncertainty it is easy for us to get dragged down into negativity and fear. This session is a powerful way to shake off the heaviness and reveal our underlying natural state of joy and peace.

Join Lisa for an exploration of self healing medicine drawing from yoga, tribal ceremony, ecstatic dance, non-linear movement, sound healing and more. Fun, powerful practices and free dance to world and tribal beats by candlelight.

Release deep held tension, raise vibration and then wind down to a sound immersion/meditation/relaxation.

We begin the session with a brief coming together in circle for intention setting and stress releasing breath practices. Then we warm up and stretch with slow floor based stretches and self guided movements to release physical, mental and emotional tension allowing for free flowing energy. As the beat and intensity in the music raise so too will our bodies desire to move. You can just sit/lie/rest and listen anytime if that’s what you feel you need. The intensity will gradually build and then come back down to provide an opportunity for deep rest and meditation. We close by coming together for a group healing meditation.

No dance experience is required and this is truly an opportunity to go within and be guided by the rhythm to find your body’s own organic way to physically release what has been trapped in tension.

Oh my goodness Lisa!! LOVED the dancing last night! It was wild and beautiful and good fun. I thought I would be very stiff and self conscious and unable to let go, but as it went on I just decided not to care and just have fun. It was a total joy. So releasing and cathartic!
